We are looking for an efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Omaha, Nebraska. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is a critical component of our logistics process, ensuring that orders are picked quickly and correctly for shipment. You will utilize scanning devices to track inventory and maintain accuracy. A strong commitment to safety is essential; all team members must follow safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds and navigate the warehouse environment effectively. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Meet productivity targets for order picking.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to a supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems is a plus.
