Join our expanding logistics team as a Forklift Operator in Orlando, Florida. This role is vital for the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring accuracy and Safety at all times. The ideal candidate is experienced, certified, and committed to maintaining a productive and secure work environment. This is a prime opportunity to leverage your skills in a dynamic logistics setting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Transport goods to and from various areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Ensure accurate order picking and staging for outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow all logistics operational procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety in the workplace.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.
