Our Distribution Center in Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking energetic and reliable individuals to join our team as Distribution Center Associates. This is a versatile role where you'll contribute to various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our logistics network. If you are looking for a hands-on role with opportunities for growth, this position is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against documentation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with precision and efficiency.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company Safety guidelines.
- Identify and report any damaged goods, discrepancies, or potential safety hazards to supervisors.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain high productivity standards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment requiring standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime if needed.
