We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our Durham, North Carolina warehouse team. This role is central to our logistics network, focusing on the accurate and timely retrieval of products to fulfill customer orders. You will work in a dynamic environment, utilizing technology and your sharp attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction. Your dedication to efficiency and precision will be key to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications and pick lists.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order documentation.
- Pack orders securely and appropriately for shipping, ensuring product protection.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company Safety protocols.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory, damaged goods, or potential hazards to management.
- Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements, utilizing provided safety gear consistently.
- Participate in regular inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily productivity and quality standards.
- Contribute to a positive and productive warehouse atmosphere through teamwork and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret product codes, order numbers, and instructions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for prolonged periods.
- Capacity for Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety best practices is preferred.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team structure.
