Are you a certified Forklift Operator seeking a challenging role in Nashville, Tennessee? We are hiring for a skilled individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our distribution center. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. Safety and precision are paramount in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Move and stack merchandise according to warehouse layout and inventory management procedures.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, verifying quantities and product information.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all company Safety protocols.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety glasses, vests, and steel-toed boots.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet productivity targets.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license is mandatory.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
