Join our growing logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in Durham, North Carolina. This role is vital for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling outgoing shipments. You will work closely with our warehouse associates and transportation partners to guarantee that all outbound orders meet our quality standards and shipping deadlines. Key responsibilities include picking items from inventory, accurately packing them to prevent damage during transit, and generating shipping labels and documentation. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements is beneficial. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will be expected to adhere to all Safety policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary. The role involves frequent Lifting of boxes and parcels, so a good level of physical fitness is required. You will play a critical role in the end-to-end fulfillment process, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational success. Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and label outgoing shipments.
- Verify order accuracy before shipment.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers.
- Maintain shipping supplies and a clean work area.
- Ensure compliance with Safety regulations and use of PPE.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a similar role is an advantage.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
