The Order Picker is responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves based on order requests, contributing directly to the success of our logistics operations. A strong commitment to teamwork and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on pick lists or electronic device instructions.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, using appropriate packaging materials.
- Operate order picking equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, electric carts) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring easy access to products.
- Conduct routine checks on inventory levels and report any stock discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including stocking and loading.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and skill development in warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Proficiency in lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong emphasis on following safety procedures and guidelines.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
