The Protocol Integrations Team plays a vital role in managing crypto engineering across 60 different blockchain protocols, each with unique challenges. You will be responsible for developing robust automation tools that allow us to scale our operations effectively. This position offers the chance to innovate throughout the entire lifecycle of crypto assets—whether it's speeding up the integration of new networks, enhancing operational efficiency, or managing network migrations. You'll have the opportunity to tackle complex challenges and make a significant impact at Coinbase and within the broader crypto community. Key Responsibilities: Streamline processes and architectures within the crypto stack. Architect and develop distributed systems. Enhance software and infrastructure reliability, efficiency, and scalability. Provide technical leadership and collaborate with management to define strategic roadmaps. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using your expert technical knowledge. Mentor team members on design methodologies and coding practices. Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used by engineering teams in production. Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs. What We Are Looking For: Over 8 years of software engineering experience. Proven experience in architecting solutions for complex, ambiguous problems with a significant impact. A strong commitment to building an open financial system that unites the world. Preferred Qualifications: Experience scaling a growing company (e.g., from 10 to several hundred engineers). Familiarity with blockchain technologies (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). Experience breaking down monolithic applications into microservices. Proficiency in Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, and Postgres. Background in developing financial systems with a focus on reliability and security. Pay Transparency Notice: Based on your work location, the target annual base salary for this role ranges from $218,025 to $256,500 USD.
