We are a small real estate development and property management company based in Lagos, Nigeria. We operate lean and use QuickBooks Online to manage all financial records.
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented remote bookkeeper to handle day-to-day bookkeeping and reporting. This is a long-term, steady role for someone who is organized and consistent.
This is NOT a finance strategy or advisory role. We need clean bookkeeping and accurate records only.
Scope of work (core responsibilities)
Weekly:
• Post and categorize all transactions in QuickBooks
• Reconcile bank statements
• Match receipts and supporting documents
• Save financial documents into organized folders
As needed:
• Create invoices and receipts in QuickBooks
• Track accounts receivable and payable
• Prepare payroll summary sheet (we handle payments)
• Generate QuickBooks reports (P&L, cash flow, project cost reports)
Monthly:
• Full bank reconciliation
• Financial summary report exported from QuickBooks
Document & File Management (important)
• Save invoices, receipts, bank statements, and financial documents into organized folders
• Maintain clean digital filing system
• Ensure every transaction has proper supporting documentation
• Weekly financial summary report (cash in/out + project costs)
Important – what you will NOT do
• No tax filings
• No payments or approvals
• No vendor chasing
• No financial strategy/advisory
• No phone calls with tenants/vendors
This role is strictly bookkeeping and reporting.
Tools
• QuickBooks Online (mandatory – expert level)
• Excel/Google Sheets
• WhatsApp/Email for communication
• OneDrive/Google Drive for documents
Work style
• Remote
• 6–8 hours per week
• Must be responsive during our business hours
• Must be organized and accurate
• Long-term preferred
• Work may be completed in batches
• Not required to be online full time
Required experience
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience (2+ years minimum)
• Bank reconciliation experience
• Invoice creation
• Financial reports export
• Good English communication
NOTE: Billing is based on completed weekly deliverables, not time logged. Hours must reflect actual bookkeeping work performed.
