Position Overview:
We are seeking a Patient Communication Coordinator to be the first voice our patients, families, and medical providers hear when they reach out. This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll work alongside our administrative and clinical teams to make sure calls are answered, messages are returned promptly, and scheduling questions are handled with care and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail on Eastern Standard Time (USA) (9AM - 5PM)
Monitor and respond to voicemails and text messages in a timely manner utilizing our VoIP system
Troubleshoot and resolve inquiries from patients, family members, POAs, and physician offices
Use our healthcare EMR system to verify appointment schedules, provider details, and intake status
Escalate urgent matters to the appropriate management or clinical teams
Log and track communications to ensure nothing slips through the cracks
Represent the Attain brand with empathy, confidence, and positivity
Handle organizing and reconciling payments via mail.
You Are:
A people person with excellent phone etiquette and clear verbal communication skills
Having at least 1+ year of health care experience & basic knowledge of insurance plan details including copay, deductible and prior authorization.
Patient, friendly, and proactive — especially when managing high call volume
Comfortable working with technology, including EMR platforms (experience is a plus but not required, training to be provided)
Able to multitask and stay organized in a remote or hybrid setting
A team player who welcomes feedback and thrives with full managerial support
