This role is a "player-coach" position, requiring a strategic leader who can both directly drive sales and mentor a small, high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in medical device sales, experience in a startup environment, and a passion for scaling growth in the women's health sector. This role is critical to expanding our market presence, building strong customer relationships, and achieving ambitious revenue targets.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership and Strategy

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue goals for women's health ultrasound devices.
  • Identify and penetrate new market opportunities, including hospitals, clinics, private practices, and women's health centers.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic planning and positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct new and ongoing training for new sales employees

Direct Sales and Account Management

  • Actively engage in direct sales activities, including prospecting, presenting, and closing deals with key accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers in the women's health space.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and post-sale support, ensuring customer satisfaction and adoption.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Foster a startup mindset within the team, encouraging adaptability, creativity, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.

Operational Excellence

  • Utilize HubSpot CRM tool to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and report on regional performance metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales pipeline, market insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards in all sales activities.
  • Manage regional budget and resources efficiently to maximize ROI on sales initiatives.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of medical device sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or player-coach role.
  • Demonstrated experience with market development sales activity
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional sales acumen, with strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Leadership ability to inspire, coach, and develop a sales team while maintaining a hands-on sales role.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and execute actionable plans.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a startup setting.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 75% within the region to meet with customers, attend events, and support the team.
