Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the Senior Manager, Human Resources will work with leaders and their teams to directly define and implement people strategies that are aligned with business plans. They will provide business partnering support while developing and implementing leading practice across the organization related to HR programs (Total Rewards, Colleague Engagement, Performance Development, etc.) and ensure HR compliance. 

What you will do:  
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with business objectives, providing strategic HR partnership to leaders across the organization.  
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of core HR programs, including performance development, talent calibration, and colleague engagement surveys.
  • Lead the governance and execution of the Total Rewards programs, including annual compensation cycles, salary planning, incentive programs, benchmarking, and support with the executive compensation cycle, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to provide insights, identify trends, and recommend solutions that improve organizational performance and colleague experience. 
  • Provide expertise in organizational effectiveness, including change management, workforce planning, and supporting leaders through complex organizational issues. 
  • Drive talent management excellence by coaching leaders on succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and the identification and development of high‑potential colleagues. 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with senior leaders and cross‑functional partners to influence decision‑making and support a performance‑driven, people‑focused culture. 
  • Develop and mentor a high‑performing HR team, building capability, fostering accountability, and ensuring consistent delivery of HR programs. 
  • Ensure HR governance, compliance, and risk mitigation, applying sound judgment and ensuring adherence to HR policies, ESA, the Human Rights Code, and other applicable legislation. 
  • Champion DEI principles by integrating inclusive practices across HR programs, processes, and leadership behaviours. 

What you bring:  

  • Progressive HR experience with deep expertise in HR business partnering across multiple functions. 
  • Proven leadership experience, including coaching and developing your client groups and the HR team, and leading complex cross‑functional projects.
  • Strong analytical capability in compensation and Total Rewards, including experience in leading compensation analysis, benchmarking, and managing review cycles and total rewards programs an asset. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives, guiding leaders and teams through organizational change and transformation. 
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to distill complex issues and present to senior leaders with clarity and confidence.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and advanced problem‑solving ability, with a track record of making effective, data‑informed decisions. 
  • A collaborative, proactive, and results‑oriented approach, modelling our CORE values, and Culture principles and is authentic, builds trust and makes connections. 
  • Post‑secondary education in HR or Business, ideally with a CHRL designation (or equivalent experience).
