About the Role
Reporting to the Director – IT Delivery, the Technical Product Owner / BA is responsible for defining, managing, and delivering technology solutions that meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders. The candidate will represent the Billing and Centralized Services offered by the team. They act as the bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, prioritize initiatives, and ensure the successful delivery of solutions.

What You'll Be Doing
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and understand business needs, requirements, and objectives. Define the solution vision and strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
Engage and manage relationships with stakeholders, including business leaders, department heads, and end-users. Facilitate communication, gather feedback, and manage expectations throughout the solution lifecycle.
Elicit and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and use cases. Analyze requirements to identify gaps, potential risks, and dependencies. This includes taking on some BA tasks to complete the requirements gathering process.
Provide scheduling and oversight of ongoing requirements gathering and support activities.
Work closely with architecture and development teams to design solutions that address business requirements, align with technical capabilities, and follow best practices. Ensure scalability, performance, security, and usability of the solution.
Manage the pipeline and point of entry for new features and upgrades to existing features.
Responsible for backlog maintenance, prioritization and estimations.
Develop and maintain a regular release schedule that outlines prioritized requirements and timelines.
Continuously evaluate and adjust the release schedules based on changing business
needs and feedback.Active participant in Agile practices and ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Collaborate with development teams to deliver solutions iteratively.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to review and provide guidance on testing strategies. Ensure that solutions meet the defined requirements, quality standards, and user expectations.
Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies associated with the solution implementation. Develop risk mitigation plans and proactively manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate the deployment of solutions, working closely with infrastructure and operations teams. Provide post-implementation support, ensuring the stability and performance of the solution.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback, analyzing metrics, and identifying opportunities to enhance the solution and delivery processes.
About You
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Owner role.
Required experience working on multiple complex enterprise-wide systems and projects facilitating requirement elicitation and documentation process.
Proven track record of delivering agile solutions as a Product Owner and/or Business Analyst.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into actionable artifacts detailed enough to meet users' needs and easily interpreted by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Possess a strong technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to quickly convert complex business processes into understandable and easy to manage processes and decision points.
Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders who may have competing interests.
Adequate knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and processes.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment dedicated to continuous improvement.
Strong critical thinking, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be an enthusiastic collaborator and be open to feedback.
Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative and cross-functional agile team.
Proficient knowledge of collaboration and defect management tools (e.g. JIRA and Confluence) is required.
Ability to effectively prioritize and pivot in response to evolving business and clients' needs and constraint.
Must be able to efficiently manage or work on multiple projects/assignments at the same time.
Demonstrates initiative and ways of solving different tasks, with no guidance
required.Work cross-functionally with business development, product development and
project implementation teams to ensure project success.

We believe in being upfront about pay and helping you make informed decisions about your career. The annual pay range for this role is $90,000-$100,000 CAD, inclusive of base salary and target incentive pay.
