Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Destruction Technician  to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the secure processing and destruction of sensitive materials while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. You will join a safety-conscious and collaborative team dedicated to protecting our customers' most sensitive information.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Execute Material Destruction:  Accurately process and destroy sensitive materials by emptying containers and shredding bins to meet customer security requirements.

  • Optimize Workflow and Sorting:  Collaborate with the warehouse team to efficiently sort materials by grade and ensure the proper disposal of non-conforming items.

  • Maintain Operational Safety:  Safely operate industrial machinery, including forklifts and Bobcat loaders, while strictly adhering to organizational safety policies and regulations.

What You'll Bring  

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant Industry Experience:  Previous experience working in a shredding, recycling, or warehousing environment.

  • Equipment Proficiency:  Proven ability to safely operate heavy machinery and industrial equipment such as forklifts.

  • Physical Capability:  The strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy bags and maneuvering large wheeled bins.

  • Environmental Adaptability:  Comfort working consistently in a non-climate controlled industrial warehouse setting.

What We Offer:

  • Pay Rate : 24.5$/hour
