  • What You'll Do

  • Conducts guided tours of the site and provides interpretation for the purpose of engaging with guests to story tell and enrich the experience of the attraction.
  • Greets guests and demonstrates a genuine interest in guest satisfaction while delivering outstanding service.
  • Participates in interpretative guide training (Niagara Parks Power Station Training Program) and site-specific training on how to operate and support the Currents Immersive Show with the goal of developing a deep knowledge on the attraction interpretive delivery.
  • Operates accesso (including timed-ticketing) and Retail Pro point-of-sale systems, inclusive of balancing credit/debit transactions on the Moneris system.
  • Assists in the operation of the attraction including but not limited to, line management, ticketing scanning, immersive show, and elevator operation.
  • Monitors for counterfeit bills and credit/debit fraud and raises issues to the attention of a Supervisor.
  • Provide customers with information while effectively upselling additional Niagara Parks products and services whenever possible.
  • Assists with merchandising, restocking of shelves, stock counts and inventory.
  • Liaises with the Supervisor(s) on any immediate issues arising (e.g., potential shoplifter, an emergency situation, guest service recovery, etc.)
  • Performs multiple walk-throughs of the large facility per day (approximately 60,000 square feet) to monitor guest activity.
  • Maintains a clean and presentable work environment.
  • Acts as an ambassador for Niagara Parks guest service and service recovery expectations.
  • Follows and adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Technical Standards and Safety Act (TSSA), Canadian Food Inspection Act, Corporate policies and procedures and the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

  • What You'll Bring

  • Successful completion of a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of interpretation at an attraction or heritage site.
  • Knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures. 
  • Experience with Retail Pro and accesso systems are an asset. 
  • Highly effective communications, presentation, and customer service skills. 
  • Requirement to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Ability to bend, stand and walk for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to maneuver around the facility and stock room and lift up to 30lbs.
