Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking a Camera Maintenance Technician to support the Pacific Region, specifically in Richmond, BC

In this hands-on role, you'll support Acuren's radiation safety program by keeping radiography systems and accessories in top working condition-serviced, maintained, and documented to the highest standards. Reporting directly to the Regional Radiation Safety Officer, you'll be a critical contributor to safe, compliant field operations.

Position Details:

  • Position is based in Richmond, BC, must be local to the area
  • Immediate Start date
  • Position will be up to 40 hrs./week
  • Rate will be up to $25.98 to $43.30/hr. depending on certifications
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that radiographic exposure device systems (mostly Delta 880 devices), X-Ray equipment, PMIsystems, and accessory equipment are properly serviced and maintained.
  • Ensure that proper records and documentation are maintained for each type of radiographic equipment
  • Assist with tracking of serviced equipment, maintenance expirations, maintaining a spare parts inventory,and update documentation in exposure device binders
  • In collaboration with the regional RSO, assess and report any safety concerns, potential causes ofequipment malfunctions and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform source assembly changes using a QSA Model 650L source changer, and conduct leak testing onisotope related equipment
  • Assist with the preparation of Class 7 Dangerous Goods shipments by road and air of for both domesticand international transfers
  • Other work duties as assigned.
Requirements Certifications & Experience:
  • Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) at minimum

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate required
  • Completion of QSA Global OEM Equipment Maintenance Course (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Industrial Gamma Radiography operations

  • Experience servicing industrial radiography exposure device systems

  • Experience meeting CNSC regulatory compliance requirements

Technical & Safety Requirements:
  • Ability to follow radiation safety procedures and safely operate:

    • Gamma-ray exposure devices

    • Source changers

    • X-ray equipment

  • Proficient with radiation detection equipment and related tools

  • Familiarity with TDG, CNSC, and Health Canada regulations

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

Professional & Communication Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with clients

  • Effective verbal and written communication, documentation, and reporting

  • Strong time management, multitasking, attention to detail, and adaptability

  • Collaborative, safety-focused, and client-oriented approach to work
