The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Border Patrol Agent (BPA). As a BPA, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the nation's borders and enforcing immigration laws.
Job Description:
As a BPA, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders
- Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
- Maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations

Average salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade level: $51,632 - $92,219.
