We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Customs and Border Protection Officer . As a CBPO, you will be part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce, responsible for safeguarding America's borders and protecting its economic prosperity.
The role involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. You will facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel while preventing illegal entry into the United States. Your duties will include inspecting individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility for entry into the country, and preventing smuggling activities.
You must have a strong understanding of law enforcement methods, intelligence techniques, behavior analysis, interviewing skills in a law enforcement capacity. Proficiency in Spanish is desired but not required. The ideal candidate should be able to make rapid decisions under pressure with accuracy regarding importing/exporting merchandise or entering/residing/departing from U.S., Guam/Puerto Rico/U.S.Virgin Islands..
