As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders. You will enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances.
- Determine the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
The work is dynamic, with various assignments including enforcing laws at ports of entry.
You must have strong observational skills to evaluate facts from documentation during your inspection duties,
having found discrepancies in goods or person’s documents then making correct determinations in compliance with law.
Your judgment may lead to arrests if needed.
