Border Patrol Agent Job Description

The United States Border Patrol (USBP) is a law enforcement agency responsible for securing the borders of the United States. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a critical role in protecting national security and upholding immigration laws.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations
  • Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions
