This is a highly rewarding position that requires individuals with strong law enforcement skills and the ability to work in challenging environments. The role involves patrolling borders, preventing and detecting illicit activities, and enforcing customs laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws
- Preventing aliens and smugglers at or near borders using surveillance systems
- Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in law enforcement or military policing. A background in track interpretation or situation awareness systems would also be beneficial.
Bonus Benefits:
- Salary ranging from $63k - $120k per year based on grade level GL-9 / GS-11
Locality pay varies by duty location
