This role is part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce, tasked with safeguarding American interests and securing our nation. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO), you will be part of a 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by enforcing laws relating to importing, exporting, international shipping to/from the United States.
- Enforce customs regulations at ports-of-entry for personal imports or exports from/to the U.S., inspect merchandise arriving into port for determination as dutiable/taxable goods,
- Detect smuggled products/cargo during inspections & boarding/detention proceedings
(Required Skills) - Experience using federal law enforcement methods- Familiarity w/intelligence techniques-bevy analytic tools-verbal communication skills - An appreciation For Learning Non verbal cues-Have accomplished first-rate instruction-fraction)
