Security Specialist

This is a career ladder position with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of our team that protects the American people by safeguarding our borders and preventing illicit activity.

• You will work in various environments, including desert, mountainous terrain, and urban areas.
• Your duties may include detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws; inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations; patrolling the international boundary using vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles etc;

Your training at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia New Mexico lasts about six months where you learn everything from first aid through firearms use as well as get trained on law enforcement operations procedures language skills Spanish English both written verbal plus how-to operate all types equipment used daily tasks required performing these roles effectively successfully.
After completion receive certification which opens doors further promotions within agency based performance level met job requirements experience gained during tenure period served.
