Job Title: Border Security Specialist

About the Job:

• The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the position of Border Security Specialist.

As a Border Security Specialist, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and regulations related to importing and exporting goods, as well as conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances to ensure compliance with CBP regulations.

• A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using proper law enforcement methods;
• Enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping; utilizing intelligence techniques to identify potential threats; performing risk assessments for violations of laws;
