You will be part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce protecting American interests and securing our nation by engaging in daily missions that involve detaining suspected violators of federal laws; conducting interviews for gaining information from suspected violators; inspecting cargo/bags/merchandise at points of entry into the US. You'll also need to utilize intelligence techniques & behavior analysis to identify potential threats & perform risk assessments.

1. What does it take to become a CBPO? A minimum one year experience equivalent to GS-7 or higher grade levels including specialized skills like detention/arrest methods inspection/interviews etc., OR master's degree or two years graduate level education leading to such degree OR combination both;
