*About the Role:*
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our software development team. This role is responsible for facilitating agile processes, managing project workflows, gathering requirements, and coordinating between onshore and offshore development teams. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and experience managing distributed teams, including our development team based in Colombia.
*Responsibilities:*
_Sprint & Agile Facilitation_
* Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
* Monitor sprint velocity, identify blockers, and support the team in maintaining a sustainable delivery pace
* Evaluate and refine agile processes to meet the team's evolving needs
_Backlog & Ticket Management_
* Manage the Jira board: triage incoming tickets, prioritize work, and maintain a well-organized backlog
* Write clear ticket descriptions with appropriate acceptance criteria
* Follow up on outstanding items, unblock dependencies, and ensure timely resolution
_Requirements & Information Gathering_
* Partner with product owners, stakeholders, and end users to gather, document, and clarify requirements
* Translate business needs into actionable information for the development team
* Identify edge cases, risks, and assumptions early in the planning process
_Cross-Team Coordination_
* Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering, product, design, QA, and leadership
* Coordinate across onshore and offshore teams to align timelines, dependencies, and priorities across time zones
* Provide clear, consistent status updates to stakeholders
_Team Communication & Culture_
* Promote a collaborative, respectful team environment across cultures and locations
* Facilitate productive conversations and address issues proactively
* Support team morale and foster strong working relationships across all team members
*Qualifications:*
_Required_
* 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or equivalent role within software development teams
* Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) — daily communication with our Colombia-based team is required
* Demonstrated experience working with offshore or nearshore development teams, preferably in Latin America
* Proficiency with Jira or similar project management tools (Linear, Shortcut, Azure DevOps)
* Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
* Experience working with software teams of varying sizes (5–15+ members)
* Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and follow-through
* Comfortable managing across time zones and navigating cross-cultural collaboration
_Preferred_
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or PMP certification
* Basic understanding of software development concepts (APIs, databases, CI/CD, version control)
* Experience with reporting tools and delivery metrics (burndown charts, cycle time, lead time)
