This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Federal Law Enforcement Officer profession and make a meaningful contribution to the nation's economic prosperity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions
Skill Requirements:
- Making sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms
The position requires effective communication skills, both written AND oral. The ability to work well under pressure AND adapt TO NEW SITUATIONS IS ALSO ESSENTIAL.
