Border Security Specialist
This role is responsible for safeguarding the nation's borders, preventing illicit activities, and enhancing economic prosperity.
Job Description:
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by deterring illegal entry and smuggling. You will inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations. Your duties may include detecting suspects using surveillance methods such as infrared scopes during night operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- You must have one year of general work experience demonstrating leadership skills, decision-making abilities under stress conditions; learning regulations through classroom training/instruction; questioning observation/examination skill sets OR bachelor degree from an accredited college/or education institution.
- For GL-7 grade level: make arrests use firearms effectively communicate courteous tactful manner enforcing law matters analyze rapidly prompt decisions corrections/military related enforcement work possessing tactical
persons qualifying GL-9/GS11 GS12 grade levels serving/en military/law procedures federal federal non-military civilian gov't positions referred selection before age priority acceptance limit/gov Defense Directive applicant choices possess/from/have serve:
