Job Title: Border Security Specialist

The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a vital part of the Department of Homeland Security's mission to protect America. As a Border Security Specialist, you will be responsible for safeguarding our nation's borders, preventing illegal entry, and ensuring the free flow of legitimate trade and travel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce Laws and Regulations:  Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws as well as regulations related to importing/exporting goods.

  • Cargo Inspection:  Conduct inspections on cargo/bags/merchandise entering/exiting the country.

  • Risk Assessment:  Perform risk assessments to identify potential threats & make rapid decisions regarding admissibility & enforcement actions.

Skill Requirements: 
The ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical skills with ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment.  Possess strong communication skills with ability to negotiate tactfully.  Prior experience working within law enforcement agencies preferred but not required.
