Protective Service Officer

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking dedicated individuals to fill entry-level positions as a Border Patrol Agent (BPA). This career opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in protecting America's borders and enforcing immigration laws.

• This position requires candidates who are committed to upholding the law, working effectively with others, and displaying excellent judgment under pressure.

A BPA performs various duties such as detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws; inspecting documents and possessions for citizenship or violations; preventing and apprehending undocumented non-citizens at or near the border using covert surveillance techniques including infrared scopes during night operations.
Typical assignments may include:

• Detecting violators by maintaining visibility from vehicles while traveling on roads within our assigned sectors along U.S./Mexico International boundary line
• Serving warrants pertaining directly related customs agencies properly listed when applicable , serve all other high-priority arrests only.   /
