About the Job:
This is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious team of highly trained professionals in law enforcement. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations
- Facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing illicit activities
- Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances
- Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States
Career Progression:
This is a career ladder position with grade level progression from GS-5 to GS-12. You will be eligible for promotion without re-applying once you complete 52 weeks in each grade level.
You'll receive comprehensive training at FLETC in Glynco, GA. Training covers basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws firearms training cargo inspection physical fitness more.
