Border Patrol Agent Overview
The U.S. Border Patrol is hiring for full-time, entry-level positions as a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) . As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders.
Job Description:
This position involves performing law enforcement duties in support of national security and border control efforts. You will be responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
- Detecting and Questioning: Use your skills to detect signs of illegal activity along the border and conduct thorough interviews with individuals under suspicion.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Requirements: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Bachelor's Degree Substitution: Superior Academic Achievement,
A Combination of Experience & Education
A Combination with previous military law enforcement experience may qualify at GL-9 - GS-11 grade levels;
