Customs and Border Protection Officer Job Overview

The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly skilled individuals to join its team as Customs and Border Protection Officers. As a CBPO, you will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.

• You must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators of federal, state or local laws using proper law enforcement methods;


• Enforcing laws relating to importing exporting merchandise; utilizing intelligence techniques behavior analysis identifying potential threats performing risk assessments violations national security; conducting interviews in law enforcement capacity gaining information determining course action required.
