Customs and Border Protection Officer Role
This challenging position involves protecting America’s borders, enforcing customs regulations, and ensuring the safety of U.S. citizens.
Job Description:
The role of Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) requires highly skilled individuals to serve as guardians of national security. CBPOs are responsible for detecting, deterring, and preventing illegal activities at ports of entry while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
- Enforcing laws related to importing/exporting merchandise
- Conducting inspections on individuals & conveyances
- Determining admissibility & risk assessments
- Pursuing investigative leads in a law enforcement capacity
Required Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse populations including local residents, international travelers, suspects, laboratory personnel etc.
The job also demands an understanding of federal laws regulating commerce,
a thorough knowledge of agriculture produce requirements , narcotic detection training and proper behavior when apprehending suspects
good written/verbal english language skills proficency with MS office technology tools like Internet /Email ...etc
Necessary qualities include physical fitness level stability , negotiable judgement/critical thinking keeping confidential information
