About the Position
As a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding America's borders while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel. This dynamic position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with an elite team of highly trained professionals who embody camaraderie, pride, and purpose in their daily mission.
Key Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Your experience should include detaining suspected violators of federal laws using proper law enforcement methods; enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture regulations; utilizing intelligence techniques for threat assessment; conducting interviews as part of law enforcement activities; and making rapid judgments regarding regulatory compliance or threats to national security.
The following education may also be used in connection with these criteria:
- A master's degree or higher;
- Two or more years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree;
- An LL.B. or J.D.
