A Customs and Border Protection Officer is a highly trained professional who plays a critical role in safeguarding the nation's borders and enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws. As part of our 60,000+ workforce, you will be responsible for detecting illicit activity, facilitating legitimate trade and travel, conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility for entry into the United States, preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.

• A minimum one (1) year experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators of federal or state laws using proper methods; enforcing regulations relating to importing/exporting/ international shipping; utilizing intelligence techniques & behavior analysis to identify threats; conducting interviews as a law enforcement officer


• The ability to make rapid accurate judgments decisions applying import-export regulations or administering laws concerning right persons entering residing departing US territories
