Data Analytics & Reporting We are looking for a Manager to join our Wealth Data Foundations team. This role is critical in building and managing scalable, high-quality data assets that power Wealth reporting, analytics/business intelligence, and machine learning. You will operate in a cloud-first environment (AWS) and collaborate with data specialists, business partners, and technology teams to shape the foundation of our advanced analytics ecosystem. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role where you'll work with cutting-edge tools, manage data products, and influence the future of Wealth data. Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Strategy
    • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of foundational data products that enable reporting, analytics, and advanced insights.
    • Execute CDAO's data strategy within Wealth by building trusted, reusable datasets and pipelines in a cloud-first environment (AWS).
    • Define and implement operating models for cloud-based data foundations, ensuring scalability, governance, and quality.
    • Collaborate with business and technology teams to align foundational data initiatives with strategic priorities and future-state architecture.
  • Data Architecture & Development
    • Oversee design, development, and maintenance of foundational datasets supporting Wealth BI, reporting, analytics, and machine learning.
    • Ensure data pipelines and transformation logic are optimized using SQL and AWS tools (Glue, S3).
    • Translate raw data into well-structured, documented, and reusable data products.
  • Governance & Quality
    • Establish data quality frameworks, profiling, and validation across systems.
    • Contribute to metadata management, data lineage, and standardized definitions.
    • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration & Influence
    • Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, technology, and BI/reporting teams.
    • Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations for strategic analytics initiatives.
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Legacy Support
    • Oversee SAS-based processes where required during transition to cloud.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a data-focused role with strong technical execution.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with AWS data services (Glue, S3) or similar cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of data transformation, cleansing, normalization, and data modeling.
  • Exposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI, QuickSight) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver actionable insights.

Salary :

$69, $129,

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
