We are looking for a dedicated Building Manager to support a vibrant residential community in the heart of Kelowna.
As the Building Manager, you'll be the friendly, reliable on‑site presence that owners and residents count on every day. You'll work closely with Strata Council and the Property Manager to keep the building running smoothly, respond to resident inquiries, support building security, oversee maintenance, and ensure the property is cared for with pride.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, effective problem solving and contributing to the smooth operation of a well-maintained community.
What You'll Do
Community + Security
- Be the main on‑site point of contact for residents and owners
- Issue keys/fobs, maintain secure records, and support access control
- Monitor security concerns and report incidents promptly
- Maintain confidentiality and represent the community in a positive, professional manner
- Complete daily and weekly inspections of common areas, mechanical rooms, and building exteriors
- Coordinate with contractors and ensure work meets standards
- Perform minor repairs (lighting, plumbing, equipment adjustments, general upkeep)
- Monitor building systems including elevators, fire panels, HVAC settings, and mechanical equipment
- Maintain common areas in clean, safe, orderly condition
- Follow all WorkSafeBC, municipal, provincial, and federal safety guideline
- Identify, report, and correct hazards
- Support enforcement of strata bylaws and regulations
- Follow the building's Fire Safety Plan
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas, entrances, sidewalks, and parking area
- Support snow/ice removal and building access safety during winter months
- Oversee pool and hot tub operation, chemical testing, and seasonal opening/closing
- Perform minor pool equipment maintenance and keep required health records up‑to‑date
- Provide weekly summary reporting
- Assist with move‑ins/move‑outs and elevator bookings
- Coordinate upkeep of gym/exercise equipment
- Other duties as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, plumbing, and digital controls (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform hands‑on repairs
- Comfortable with ladders, kneeling, and physical tasks
- Valid driver's license + personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Pool Operator training (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid knowledge an asset
