Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Human Resources Advisor to join our Human Resources team, based out of Saskatoon, SK. This on-site, Human Resources Advisor will be responsible for tactical and operational human resources support to Bantrel and our client across all aspects of project execution. Working closely with project leadership and reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role delivers proactive guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, and project-specific HR requirements including development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, programs and practices. In this position, the HR Advisor ensures HR processes are effectively adapted to meet project needs, drives alignment between organizational priorities and project outcomes, and oversees the consistent delivery of HR programs and initiatives. Serving as a trusted advisor and mentor, this role influences HR policy application, fosters strong client and stakeholder relationships, and contributes to building a high‑performing project culture.
Bantrel is working with K+S Potash (KSPC) as an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT), to expand the KSPC Bethune Potash Mine is near Moose Jaw Saskatchewan from 2.2 to 3.0M tonnes per annum over the next 5 years. The final production capacity is intended to grow over decades to 4M tonnes per year, doubling the current production output of potash. Key personnel will support the project from Saskatoon and Bethune, with additional support staff supporting from Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned project(s), offering guidance and support to project leaders and team members on all human‑resources‑related matters.
- Ensure that both Bantrel and Client HR policies, programs, and processes are applied consistently and adapted appropriately to meet project‑specific needs.
- Collaborate regularly with Corporate HR teams from Bantrel and the Client, as well as the project leadership team, to maintain alignment, share project‑specific updates, and support the consistent implementation of organizational HR standards.
- Roll out Corporate HR initiatives within the project environment, tailoring approaches as needed to effectively support operational and workforce requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate project‑specific HR activities, including onboarding, mobilization, performance management, succession planning and development, employee transitions, and off‑boarding.
- Monitor HR practices for effectiveness and compliance within the project and recommend improvements to enhance engagement, consistency, and project performance.
- Support recruitment activities as needed, acting as a local extension of the Talent Acquisition team through tasks such as posting roles, screening candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating reference checks, facilitating hiring processes, and participating in career fairs.
- Lead the delivery of project‑specific onboarding, including facilitation of orientations, coordination with IT and facilities, oversight of new‑hire training, and ensuring smooth integration into the project team.
- Provide guidance to the Training Coordinator in the development of the annual Training Strategy and contribute to the design and implementation of learning and development initiatives.
- Participate in ad hoc HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years in HR, with 2+ years in an advisory or generalist capacity. Prior experience within a project environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of local provincial employment legislation (Saskatchewan).
- CPHR designation is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of HRIS and ERP systems, data analysis and reporting capabilities
