The Ocean Capital group of companies has a new opportunity for a Director - Human Resources who will lead human resource operations. This role will provide valued direction, service, support and advice to the Human Resource team, liaise with company leaders to determine their needs, support HR systems, as well as be proactive in promoting human resources best practices, policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Oversee the delivery of operational HR matters
Lead the annual calendar of commitments for each business
Coach, support, and guide HR teams on leadership presentations, approach to problem solving, and difficult employee issues.
Support the senior leadership team with the HR planning and business strategy
Partner with Business leadership to enhance employee engagement and integrate employee feedback and survey results into actionable plans.
Maintain solid understanding of how trends are changing for Human Capital management, and best practices in the industries we operate
Support HR Program sustainability, and effective implementation within each business
Ensure in the adoption of the Human Capital Information System.
Partner with senior leadership to define annual targets for the HR Key Performance Indicators and help them in measuring success on human capital
Lead the succession planning process for each business in partnership with senior leadership
Develop relationships and collaborate with HR teams to create synergies and efficiencies
Implement process improvement initiatives that results in a better more efficient way to do things

Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Business Administration degree or relevant undergraduate degree.
Chartered Professional in Human Resources Designation
HR leadership experience in a multi-site environment with a minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience with best-in-class HR practices.
Skills and Attributes:
A passion for HR with a clear understanding to its role within a company's strategy.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Sound research and business analytic skills.
Creative thinker and problem solver.
Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently or within a team.
Organized and knowledgeable of administrative procedures.
Understands and appreciate the need for confidentiality.
Expert knowledge of MS office.
Previous experience with an HRIS system
