Agropur is seeking a Dairy Planner to join its St-Hubert team.

Reporting to the Supply Chain function, the Dairy Planner role plays a key part in balancing demand, supply, and the operational performance of our plants. Acting as a true conductor, the incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing inventory flows in the short, medium, and long term, while ensuring supply security and compliance with Agropur's commitments to its internal and external partners.

In a dynamic and constantly evolving environment, the Dairy Planner works closely with Operations, Transportation, Procurement, and Corporate Affairs teams to adjust plans, resolve operational issues, and actively contribute to the achievement of business objectives related to service levels, costs, and inventory targets. This strategic role requires strong analytical skills, a high degree of autonomy, and operational leadership to influence and mobilize multidisciplinary partners across the entire value chain.

What this role involves:

More specifically, the responsibilities of the Dairy Planner are:

  • Develop short-, medium-, and long-term supply plans for the plants and suppliers under their responsibility.

  • Lead daily cross-functional meetings to adjust plans, address issues, and define associated action plans.

  • Independently manage contingencies to ensure supply security while minimizing costs for the organization, in collaboration with various stakeholders.

  • Respond on a weekly basis to demand adjustments and fluctuations to implement required changes.

  • Ensure effective communication between internal departments and suppliers to achieve targeted service levels.

  • Build action plans to meet organizational business objectives (service levels, losses, inventory levels), including corrective action plans when required.

  • Contribute to the operational improvement of Agropur's information systems and participate in system deployments as needed within technology-related projects.

  • Prepare relevant reports and analyses to support the effective operation of the supply chain, while encouraging continuous improvement and innovation, including the development of tools that may impact all plants across the value chain.

  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects related to planning and supply processes.

  • Manage all movements related to dairy planning to ensure that all plants are supplied according to their needs and that Agropur's commitments to commercial and institutional partners are met.

  • Operationally lead the business relationship with transportation service providers to ensure proper process implementation and manage supplier relationships in partnership with the Procurement team.

  • Coordinate the entire logistics operation with a strategic customer and collaborate to optimize transportation flows and minimize ancillary costs.

  • Actively contribute to key projects (Dairy Module / IBP Demand & Supply).

  • Serve as the orchestrator of Agropur's entire cream network, including the optimal management of cream and ingredient surpluses.

What you need to join our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration.

  • Strong ability to manage priorities, handle multiple files simultaneously, and demonstrate excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.

  • Excellent ability to analyze data from various integrated systems.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
