The Project Manager will work with multi-disciplinary teams overseeing project staff and sub-contractors, providing guidance to ensure each project meets operational standards. This includes developing a detailed scope of work, budget and schedule, conducting risk management assessments and maintaining health, safety and environmental compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage non-routine maintenance and industrial projects from initiation to completion.
  • Gather information from stakeholders to define project scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Build detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and funding requests.
  • Prepare scopes of work (SOWs), coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, contractors, and commissioning teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, performance, quality of work, and materials used to maintain project standards.
  • Manage project financials, including budget tracking, cost control, and resource allocation (personnel, materials, equipment).
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct project evaluations and lessons learned to improve future projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

The ideal candidate will work in a remote camp from Monday to Thursday. Flights out of Saskatoon and Prince Albert only, camp provided.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project planning and execution, preferably in industrial, maintenance, mining, or construction projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
  • P.Eng designation (APEGS) is an asset.
  • Technical or trades background will be considered.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS Project; SAP experience is an asset.
  • PMP designation is an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making abilities.
