We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design work across various industrial projects. The successful candidate will act as Engineer of Record for drawings, specifications, data sheets, engineering lists, and construction packages. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements, industry codes, and construction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical engineering design work on industrial projects and act as Engineer of Record for issued drawings, specifications, data sheets, engineering lists, and construction packages.
  • Size, select, and specify major mechanical equipment, process pumps, process piping, vessels, tanks, and related systems.
  • Support mechanical designers in CAD work for 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Develop and revise technical specifications, scope of supply, Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for cost estimation, Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement, and construction work packages.
  • Sign and/or seal technical documents, including drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, engineering lists, and calculations.

Requirements

  • Experience with major mechanical equipment sizing and selection, process piping (P&IDs, piping specifications, piping isometrics), pumping, and equipment layout design (general arrangements, plans, sections, and details).
  • Knowledge of building services such as drains, vents, HVAC, and industrial ventilation is an asset.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling and simulation (e.g., AFT Fathom), piping stress analysis (e.g., CAESAR), steam/condensate, and cold temperature piping systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design and construction codes and standards.
  • Prior experience in mining, industrial, or process-related projects is an asset.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical).
  • P.Eng designation with APEGS.
  • P.Eng designation with PEO is an asset.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
