À propos
Website:
Platform: WordPress + WooCommerce
Industry: used/recycled OEM auto parts, wrecking & recycling, trade supply
This is not just a small homepage edit — I want the redesign to become the site-wide look and feel across the entire store (homepage, category pages, product pages, cart/checkout, and key info pages).
I'm looking for someone who can bring both design thinking + implementation skill (not a basic "theme installer"). I will provide example renders and design direction, but I also want you to contribute your own expertise and ideas to improve the final result.
Main Goal
Create a consistent, premium, modern "brand system" across the whole site that:
Looks premium and trustworthy
Feels masculine and automotive (not generic)
Is clean and easy to browse
Builds confidence to purchase online
Works perfectly on mobile
Loads fast and performs well
Can scale across the whole store
Design Direction (Important)
Style Keywords
- Premium
- Modern
- Bold / masculine
- Clean / minimal
- Automotive / performance
- High trust, high quality
- Lots of whitespace (not cluttered)
Colour Direction
Red, Navy Blue, White and Black has been our colour scheme for 30+ years. Consideration and discussions around a new colour pallet are ongoing, such as;
- White/light sections should be clean and premium
- Black/charcoal/steel accents
- Minimal eco green highlights used sparingly (buttons, ticks, small highlights)
I'll provide renders/inspiration references, but I'm open to your recommendations on how to make the design more premium, more modern, and more conversion-focused.
Scope / Deliverables
Phase 1 — Design System + Homepage (Priority)
I want you to create a consistent design system and redesign/rebuild the homepage based on supplied render concepts (direction), then improve/extend that direction into a high-end final result.
Deliverables include:
- A consistent typography + spacing system across the site
- Button + form styling
- Consistent icon style
- Premium section styling and layout structure
- A redesigned homepage that reflects the concept direction but feels professionally refined
- Mobile responsive and performance-friendly implementation
Phase 2 — Roll out across the rest of the site
Once the design direction is approved, apply it across key areas including:
- Shop/category pages
- Product page layout
- Cart and checkout
- About/contact/trade/recycling pages (as required)
Performance, APIs, Merchant Centre & Growth (Very Important)
This redesign is not just about aesthetics — it must support sales and growth outcomes.
Key priorities for this project:
- Google Merchant Centre compliance (pricing, availability, shipping accuracy where applicable)
- Correct structured data / schema output across products and pages
- Understanding and working around WooCommerce APIs / feeds / integrations (including Content API if used)
- Improving customer buying confidence and conversion through:
-clearer trust signals
-better UX flow
-easier navigation + search
- Improving engagement metrics:
- time on site
- pages per session
- customer interaction
- repeat visits / retention
Expectations
You should be comfortable collaborating with me on:
- improving the "shopability" of the site (category/product browsing)
- reducing friction on cart and checkout
- ensuring the redesign doesn't break tracking, analytics, or feed output
- troubleshooting technical issues related to caching, plugins, and merchant feed accuracy
Bonus if you have experience with:
- Google Merchant Centre troubleshooting

- CRO (conversion rate optimisation) for ecommerce
