Role Overview
As the Manager, E-Commerce, you will collaborate closely with the Director, Marketing & E-Commerce, serving as the sales lead in helping to formulate and implement our E-Commerce strategy and roadmap. Collaborating closely with our Paid Digital Media Agency and internal teams in marketing, purchasing, sales and I.T., you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing user experience and boosting online revenue. Leading a dedicated E-Commerce Associate, you'll jointly oversee our BigCommerce platform, manage product listings, promotions and pricing, and lead digital marketing initiatives to enhance traffic and conversions. We are seeking a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit who can identify online sales drivers to elevate the user's experience and provide actionable recommendations for best results.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the operations and optimisation of all E-Commerce functions, ensuring seamless functionality, user experience and adherence to best practices.
Work closely with our purchasing team to ensure product categories, listings, descriptions, images, prices, inventory levels and savings are accurate and up-to-date.
Launch new brands and set up new promotions, including images, web banners and custom landing pages cooperatively with the E-Commerce Associate.
Lead the strategy to drive best user experience and design practices along with UX research activities.
Pull data from various sources such as BigCommerce, Google Analytics and Netsuite to report on the performance of marketing activities.
Provide recommendations based on A/B testing, market/competitive research and analytical review as aligned with company goals and online trends.
Continuously analyse metrics and user behaviour to identify opportunities for enhancing sales and conversion rates.
Collaborate with the marketing team to execute digital ad campaigns, including email marketing and social media initiatives, to drive traffic and conversion.
Manage and implement data attributes at the product level, which involves establishing naming conventions, optimising for SEO, and standardising comparison structures across all product categories on the site.
Work closely with customer service to address any customer complaints or issues related to the website.
Continuously monitor the website proactively to ensure the accuracy of information and content.
Stay informed of the latest e-commerce trends and AI technologies to drive innovation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
University degree or College Diploma in Marketing & E-commerce or a related field from an accredited institution.
5-7 years of relevant work experience, leading the management of an e-commerce website.
Proficient in BigCommerce, Google Analytics, and SEO/SEM strategies.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Proven ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong copywriting skills
Extreme attention to detail.
Ability to lead and develop a team, ensure completion of timelines and adherence to projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
