THE ROLE:
This position requires occasional travel to the Fort St. John area.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE :
- Manage and execute environmental projects, including stakeholder communication, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting
- Manage Field Environmental Supervisors (FES) by providing clear direction on project requirements to support efficient, compliant field execution; additionally be in the field intermittently supporting execution
- Maintain accurate project data in Fieldshare and other systems used to support the Assessment and Remediation program
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to bid, award, and manage projects, ensuring the selection of qualified, high‑performing vendors
- Prepare project scopes, request internal approvals, and manage spend and contract service orders in SAP
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities and recommending enhancements
- Prepare, review, and finalize technical reports for project work
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Post-secondary education with a focus in an environmental management discipline and/or equivalent work experience; professional designation is required (P.Geo., P.Eng., P.Ag., P.Biol., P.Chem.)
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector, including recent BC‑specific planning, executing, and reporting on assessment and remediation work
- Current certifications (or the ability to obtain) in H2S Alive, Standard First Aid/CPR
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license, with experience driving in a variety of field
- Experience working directly or indirectly with the BC Energy Regulator (BCER), with strong knowledge of the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation and the BCER Site Remediation & Reclamation Manual
- Experience working directly or indirectly with the BC Ministry of Environment & Parks (BC MOEP) is considered an asset, along with working knowledge of MOEP protocols, Administrative Guidance, and Technical Guidance documents
- Experience and skills in spill response and cleanup is an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Teams, and other tools relevant to working efficiently in both office and field environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and take initiative in solving problems
