We are seeking a Data Scientist – Marketing Operations to join our Business Systems & Marketing Operations team, as the analytical engine for the Demand Generation Team. This role will focus on delivering advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and actionable insights across Salesforce Marketing Account Engagement (Pardot), Marketing Cloud, and related martech tools. The Data Scientist will help optimize campaign performance, improve lead management, and shape data-driven marketing strategies across multiple brand with data visualization of marketing KPIs like MQLs and pipeline to connect those metrics to top-level business outcomes.
This is a hands-on role working closely with marketing operations, sales operations, data engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure marketing investments are measurable, optimized, and aligned with business goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Data Strategy & Analysis
- Develop data models, dashboards, and reports to measure marketing campaign performance, lead conversion, and ROI.
- Partner with marketing operations and sales teams to define KPIs and improve lead scoring, funnel health, and attribution models.
- Design and implement experiments (A/B testing, multivariate testing) to guide marketing optimization.
- Analyzes marketing data to identify trends, opportunities and risks:
- "Which of our recent acquisitions has the most effective demand generation engine, and why?"
- "Is our marketing spend for a specific acquired company helping us gain market share, or is it just maintaining the status quo?"
- "What marketing strategies from a successful acquisition can we apply to the rest of the portfolio?"
Predictive & Advanced Analytics
- Build predictive models for lead scoring, churn prediction, segmentation, and customer lifetime value.
- Apply machine learning techniques to identify patterns and improve targeting, personalization, and engagement.
- Develop forecasting models for pipeline contribution and campaign performance.
Data Management & Governance
- Work with data engineering and system admins to ensure high-quality data across Salesforce, Account Engagement, and other marketing systems.
- Establish data hygiene and enrichment processes to improve segmentation and targeting accuracy.
- Contribute to data governance best practices and compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CASL, CCPA, etc.).
Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner with Marketing Operations team to embed analytics into campaign planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations to align marketing insights with pipeline and revenue goals.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable format.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis and machine learning.
- Knowledge & understanding of marketing platforms
- Salesforce Marketing Account Engagement (Pardot), Marketing Cloud, HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms.
- Strong knowledge of marketing funnel metrics, attribution, and campaign measurement.
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM data models.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data science, marketing analytics, or related field.
- Experience with B2B and/or multi-brand marketing environments.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex data insights to business stakeholders.
