Job Overview

As a Night Auditor at the Kingston Marriott Hotel, you'll be responsible for balancing all hotel revenues and expenses during overnight hours, generating key financial reports, and supporting overnight guest service operations. This role ensures smooth transitions between hotel operating days while maintaining financial accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Balance and audit room, food and beverage, and telephone revenues for accuracy
Audit all room and tax charges, cashier reports, and guest/house accounts
Complete and transmit daily management, accounting, and other supporting reports including customer tracking, market segmentation, and F&B revenue reports
Communicate with other hotel departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide information as needed
Act as the hotel system liaison during overnight hours; report issues with Opera or other systems
Perform Guest Service Representative functions as needed, including reservations, answering calls, and notifying guests of messages
Promote teamwork and service excellence through effective overnight communication and support
Perform other duties as assigned, following all Company and Marriott brand standards

Qualifications and Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
Prior customer service experience; hospitality or accounting experience is an asset
Fluent English required; other languages a plus

Physical Requirements

Able to lift or carry items up to 50 pounds
Comfortable moving around hotel public areas
Able to bend, stoop, and kneel

Other

Reading and writing abilities are utilized frequently for reporting, guest registration, and reservations
Basic math skills used frequently
Basic computer skills for entering data and reporting system issues
May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
