We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks, and supporting overall warehouse logistics. Your role is crucial for maintaining workflow and upholding our high standards for safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse and to designated areas.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE, such as hard hats and safety shoes.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Follow all instructions provided by management to optimize logistics and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety procedures is paramount.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices is a must.
