We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This is a critical position within our warehouse operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various warehouse equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all instructions from warehouse supervisors and management.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding attendance, performance, and conduct.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures is required.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is beneficial.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
